DONATE
In an effort to support organizations fighting against racism I am raffling off an original framed painting. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the cause. Please share this far and wide so together we can all raise as much money as possible.
Did you know that African American girls are more at risk to develop mental health disorders than their counterparts due to various biological, sociological, physiological, and familial factors? According to Catherine Fisher Collins, “Most African American girls’ mental health goes unrecognized due to their disruptive behavior and defiant tendencies…their mental health problems are poorly misunderstood” (Black Girls and Adolescents: Facing the Challenges: Facing the Challenges by Catherine Fisher Collins)
By supporting this organization we are helping Black women and girls receive therapy sessions that could not only help facilitate necessary changes in the juvenile justice system and criminal justice system, but also empower communities for Black liberation. Please consider donating to this cause by buying a raffle ticket (or five) so we can be the change we want to see in our communities. Additionally, if you have the means, I'd like to encourage you to donate more to this, and other causes, by supporting Black-owned businesses and foundations. We can’t stop here and I will continue to support our fellow Black young women, Black transgender women, Black L.G.B.T.Q women, and men in this fight for equality and justice.
July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month.
I will be donating 100% of the money raised to The Loveland Foundation:
About the Loveland Foundation:
“Through our partnerships with Therapy for Black Girls, National Queer & Trans Therapists of Color Network, Talkspace and Open Path Collective, Loveland Therapy Fund recipients will have access to a comprehensive list of mental health professionals across the country providing high quality, culturally competent services to Black women and girls. With therapy sessions costing an average of $80 – $200 per session, we have selected the following options to increase the likelihood that participants are able to financially afford therapy after the end of the 4 – 8 sessions supported by The Loveland Foundation Therapy Fund. Black women and girls deserve access to healing, and that healing will impact generations.”
The Loveland Foundation is the official continuation of this effort to bring opportunity and healing to communities of color, and especially to Black women and girls. Through fellowships, residency programs, listening tours, and more, ultimately we hope to contribute to both the empowerment and the liberation of the communities we serve.”

MINI PAINTING FLASH SALE PART II
During this year’s Beverly Arts Fest, I will be putting mini paintings on sale again for $45 to help raise support for my time at Vermont Studio Center coming this September. These Mini paintings are given as much love as larger paintings, and usually sold at $75-$100. Last time I put these on sale, I almost sold out. As an artist who primarily sells original work, it’s not always easy to afford it. This is an opportunity to help support me in a bigger way that won’t break the bank.
Come by 267 Cabot street from 10-4 on JUNE 15th to find mini paintings & MORE!

DETAILS
I often share details of larger pieces I am working on. Here are a few of my favorites right now.
you stayed where?
“The Studio Allston Hotel is a creative hospitality experience situated in the heart of Boston’s hippest neighborhood. With a unique blend of energizing art and design, wit, and a comfortable atmosphere, Studio Allston enables you to find yourself and lose yourself at the same time. #StayOutsideTheFrame”
Room 506, Studio Allston Hotel Boston, MA
Thanks to Isenberg Projects and Hotel Studio Allston, my blue paintings were transformed to fit into 9 hotel rooms with 4 prints to accompany the mural size wallpaper behind the beds. Located on 1234 Soldiers Field Road in Allston (right along the Charles River) my blue paintings were digitally stretched to fit a full sized wall which was so nerve-wracking! I had a chance to stay in one of the rooms after a night of dining with the 12 other artists that contributed to the final product. My nerves dwindled once I walked into this unique, fun, contemporary space- immediately knowing my paintings were in good hands. Waking up covered in blue was a dream, and I am so thankful for the experience.

ban plastic
You totes love these totes?
OK-Beverly, MA has been working hard on banning plastic bags to reduce the amount of plastic that ends up in landfills. The result begins on January 1, 2019—businesses that provide plastic bags to consumers will be fined $50. Let’s hope large corporations will listen.
Each tote bag is hand painted with love in my Beverly, MA studio. I love the feeling of painting on raw canvas and i also love grabbing a unique bag for my groceries, sandy beach wear, farmers market finds, weekend toiletries, transporting my cat from room to room, or anything normal in between. Fear of mass production has led each tote to be an original painting, a little piece what my larger studio work might look like.
I share a few different designs on my instagram which offer a variety of uses.

I've partnered with another BA business woman. She's 35, runs her own dental practice, and kills it. She's located at 130 Cabot street which is about 3 blocks away from my studio. My good friend Sarah, who hangs art for a living and runs the studio I paint in (NBD) collaborated with us to hang some new work in Martin's Dental Partners. The pieces will be up until June 7th.
